Presenting our 2020 resident artist, the talented, Pierre Yves Bonnot.
Pierre Yves Bonnot studied decoration at the Duperré School of Applied Arts in Paris. After finishing school, he traveled the world working as a designer. He then settled in the Perche region of France where he rediscovered his enjoyment of drawing and painting.
Pierre Yves Bonnot starts each of his creations by carefully choosing pages from antique books. Every detail is important to him, from the typography to trimmings of pages. Once the perfect page is chosen, he then meticulously brushes on his painting. And for the final touches, he uses coloured pencils to give life to every last detail.
His inspirations comes from his farm home nestled in the Perche countryside. His favourite local models are flowers, trees, vegetables, and small animals of surrounding fields and forest. He has even opened Maison d’Hector, an 18th century farm house with a trio of guest rooms where you can share this country scape.
Reserve your February Box today and be sure not to miss out on our new artist resident, Pierre Yves Bonnot. By the year end you will have a collection of four paintings by Pierre Yves, a beautiful ensemble to frame.
