Manufacture de Digoin: A Century-Old Savoir-Faire
Beginning in 1875, the Manufacture de Digoin, based in the south of the Burgundy region, made high-quality, ultra-resistent stoneware products using French sandstone. With a rise in the use of glass and plastic, the manufacturer was forced to close its doors due to lack of demand- that is, until in 2014 Corinne Jourdain Gros discovered that it was for sale. Passionate about French-made products, she purchased it and hired around 15 artisans to bring it back to life. Today, Manufacture de Digoin makes both garden and culinary products, all remarkably strong and waterproof thanks to their well-honed manufacturing process.
