La Maison Franc: Tradition Brought into the Modern Age
The tradition of gifting coeur de lavande, a small bunch of lavender, stretches back years, when they were included in the traditional trousseau when a young woman was married. It was also, and still is, given as a gift to neighbors, friends and loved ones as a token of peace and friendship. One such wand was given to La Maison Franc founder Philippe when he first moved to his Provençal village. He was touched by both the kindness and the universality of the gift, as perfume translates into every language. This was the inspiration behind creating his business, making lavender wands and orbs that can be used in the home or given as gifts, as he once received.
