Every box, we choose one of our partner brands to reveal along with the theme for that quarter. For our November 2019 box, whose theme is Mon Beau Sapin (O Christmas Tree), we’re excited to be partnering with L’Artisan Parfumeur! Read more about this wonderful Parisian brand below:

The perfume house was founded in 1976 by Jean François Laporte, a chemist (and the founder of Sisley 4 years prior) who was challenged by a friend to create a banana perfume. He then began experimenting with natural scents, creating new and unique combinations that quickly landed him among the highest ranks of Parisian perfumers.

The brand has continued innovating but kept its classic scents for the last 40 years, like Laporte’s original creation Mûre et Musc (blackberries and musk), as well as others like La Chasse Aux Papillons (butterfly hunt) and Premier Figuier (the first fig blossom).

Their first boutique opened in 1979 on the rue de Grenelle on the Left Bank in Paris, and it quickly became a hotspot for artisanal perfume enthusiasts.

All their scents are botanically based and made with natural ingredients, like essential oils in the perfumes and mineral wax in the candles. Even the furniture in their boutiques are made of all natural materials like wood and marble.

Laporte once said of his Mûre et Musc fragrance that it “will appeal to any woman from age 15 to 60”, and it’s one of our favorite things about this beautiful brand- they have something that will appeal to everyone. We’re thrilled to be able to include one of their products in our November box and introduce you to this quintessentially Parisian brand!
