how to care for your olive wood

Oct 6, 2022 | Uncategorized

It is no secret that we love olive wood here at MFCH.

Without taking proper care of your olive wood items, the wood can become dry, and cloudy, and could eventually crack. Therefore, it is important to take some time to learn how to properly treat your olive wood utensils, bowls, cutting boards, and other products.

For taking care of our olive wood, we prefer to use this Berard Bees Wax Wood Cream.

To use this cleaner, find a lint-free cloth or small kitchen towel. Avoid using anything abrasive, such as a sponge or steel wool – these materials can scratch your olive wood and invite bacteria into the gauges. Apply a small amount of the product to the cloth or towel. Then gently rub the product into the wood using small circular motions. Continue to add more product to your cloth as much as needed until the entire surface of the wood is covered in a thin layer of conditioner. For the best results, allow it to sit overnight but you are free to use it as soon as it dries as this product is edible.
