Review of the May Box—my first “unknown” box

As another reviewer stated, I love the idea of these boxes, but there are some issues I have as well with the color options of items, including kitchen items, table items, cosmetic items and personal decor items, as well as scent options. I also wish we could choose these, as there are colors and scents I would never use or want to have (as I’ve discovered in looking at many of the past boxes). One example is that the blush in the May box is far too “warm” for my skin tone—it was far better that I had the option for the lip colors that were in the Mother’s Day and Mademoiselle Boxes that I ordered. It would also be good if there were descriptions of the scents and colors as there are on the actual vendor sites—or at least links to the descriptions on the vendor sites if they can’t be included on the MFCH shopping section. It is a shame to have to purchase items that we could not use just due to color and scent, even though they may make great gifts, we are subscribing to these boxes as a way to gift and pamper ourselves. I also would have much preferred another notebook, or card, or paper product, than to have the book. I am a big reader and a librarian, but not looking for my reading material in a subscription such as this.
