Marius Fabre: The Modern Marseille Soap Tradition

In the garden shed of his home in Salon-de-Provence, 22-year-old Marius Fabre began his soap company with just two cauldrons and some moulds. Over 100 years later, the company has survived wars and the decline of the Marseille soap industry, and has stayed in the family- it’s now run by Marius’s granddaughters, carrying on the tradition of both their family and the fabrication of Marseille soap.
