As spring unfolds across France, the rhythm of daily life shifts gently outdoors, to sunlit terraces, open windows, and tables set with care.
This long-awaited season has inspired our Spring Dining Box, a collection created to celebrate the simple pleasure of gathering, sharing, and slowing down.
Inside you will find…
A set of steak knives by Sabre – This set of steak knives from Sabre reflects the house’s long-standing reputation for craftsmanship and quality. Made with olive wood handles – a material so closely tied to the French landscape – each piece bears its own unique markings, bringing character to the table. Hand wash only.
An apron from Sylvie Thiriez – Stripes have long been associated with relaxed, outdoor living, and this apron from Sylvie Thiriez captures that spirit of casual cooking. Crafted from thick cotton with an adjustable tie and a practical central pocket, it is designed to be worn as you move through the rhythm of preparing a meal with the windows open, letting in the spring breeze.
An oven mitt from Sylvie Thiriez – Designed to match the apron, this oven mitt completes the set with the same striped cotton and careful finishing. Made to handle warm dishes with ease, it becomes part of the art of preparing and serving, bringing a sense of continuity as everything moves from kitchen to table.
A custom-made small wicker basket – Woven especially for this box, this small wicker basket brings natural texture into the kitchen and onto the table. Included for its versatility, it can hold garlic and onions within reach while cooking, or be styled on the table for bread rolls or fruit.
A kitchen towel from Yliades – Made from 100% cotton and printed with either a turnip or carrot motif, this kitchen towel from Yliades brings a charming, garden-inspired touch to your kitchen. Generously sized and made for everyday use, it stays close at hand while cooking or drying dishes, reflecting the spirit of spring dining where fresh, simple ingredients take center stage.
An antique carving fork – Antique pieces have always been at the heart of what makes our boxes so special, and our small team works carefully to source hundreds of unique finds to share. For this Box, we included a French silver plate fork originally used for carving meat. Each is selected for its character, with subtle variations from piece to piece. Chosen with spring gatherings in mind, it can be used for serving at the table or on your barbecue.
A print of an original illustration by Yves Damin – We’re very happy to have Yves Damin as our 2026 Resident Artist. This illustration is the second of four prints created for our Boxes this year. Set along the Seine with the Musée d’Orsay in the background, it captures a pleasant spring moment in Paris, with trees in full leaf and a boat quietly passing by. Each piece in this series has been designed to be collected, coming together across the four Boxes to form a thoughtful curation.
A thank you gift for our subscribers from Bastide du Laval – As a thank you to our subscribers, this Box includes a flavorful olivade from Bastide du Laval. Made with green olives, tomato, and herbes de Provence, it captures the essence of southern flavors in a simple, generous spread. Perfect for spring gatherings and made to be shared at apértif hour on fresh bread or alongside a cheese and charcuterie spread.
