If you have been with us for a while, you may remember Sabre from our Dinner with Friends Box in 2020. A pair of bamboo salad servers that, judging by our clients’ reviews, found a happy home in your kitchens and solidified our appreciation for the brand.
Since then, Sabre has remained closely tied to how we think about the table. A well-set table shapes the entire dining experience. Linen, glass, and carefully chosen pieces come together with ease. The result feels considered, never forced. It is never about excess, but about creating an atmosphere that invites you to sit down, linger, and enjoy what is in front of you.
As we began curating our Spring Dining Box, Sabre returned to us naturally. The choice felt instinctive, guided by the tone we wanted to bring to the table this season. One that feels relaxed, considered, and ready for spring.
Founded in 1993 by Francis Gelb, the brand draws from a family history of fine metalwork. That heritage is reinterpreted with a focus on everyday use rather than display. From the beginning, Sabre was designed for the table, with pieces that feel just as appropriate for a simple lunch as they do for a shared meal with friends.
Pascale Gelb expanded that vision by introducing a broader perspective shaped by travel and texture. Her influence can be felt in every collection. Color and form work together with confidence, creating pieces that feel distinctive yet easy to live with.
What continues to draw us back is how naturally Sabre fits into the home. These are pieces you reach for without thinking, ones that become part of daily rituals and shared moments around the table. They do not ask for attention, yet they quietly shape the atmosphere of every meal.
For our Spring Dining Box, we have chosen a piece (or pieces) that reflects this spirit, one that finds its place easily among soft linens, seasonal flowers, and the gentle light of spring. Quantities are limited – join us today!
