This charming French brand has quickly become a favorite for lovers of thoughtful design and traditional craftsmanship. Every piece they create is made in France, using high-quality materials sourced in Europe.

Bazar Atelier Sablon was created during the first lockdown in April 2020. Founder Hortense discovered her grandmother’s sewing machine and taught herself how to sew. Her first creation was a tote bag made from leftover Toile de Jouy fabric. That initial design planted the seed for what would become a flourishing brand focused on French-made accessories with a vintage touch.

The brand’s signature piece is the Jouy de Fruits tote, a city that blends French heritage with modern style. Recognizable by its unique prints and rich historical references, the bag is both practical and beautiful. It represents the heart of Bazar Atelier Sablon’s mission: to create items that are as useful as they are meaningful, while proudly made in France.

By September 2020, Hortense had partnered with a workshop in the Alpes-Maritimes to manage small-scale production. She later met four talented seamstresses – Laurance, Bernadette, Edith, and Camille in the Champagne-Ardenne region. Together, they bring each design to life in small batches, ensuring quality and care in every item.

What sets Bazar Atelier Sablon apart is its deep connection to French culture. Hortense designs and sews each prototype herself in Paris. She draws inspiration from French history, her love of home décor, and her family’s heritage. These influences are woven into every product, making them perfect additions to any French lifestyle collection.
